Whenever I'm planning a visit to Denver I usually try to book my stay  in the Lower Highland (Lo-Hi) neighborhood. It offers great walkability, some top food options, and a trendy area with admirable architecture.

Ok, I know this is going to sound weird, but Linger is in a former mortuary. Don't let this put you off...it's actually a super interesting and unique dining experience. Linger is not 100% gluten-free but they do have a lot of gf options on the menu and have a reputation for being great at accommodating celiacs. And they have a great cocktail list!

Linger (brunch or dinner): Housed in a converted mortuary with a rooftop patio boasting panoramic views of downtown Denver, Linger offers globally-inspired street food and craft cocktails, creating a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Try this for an upscale experience then stop by Little Man Ice Cream on your way out. 

Who doesn’t love a little history? This mortuary turned bar is located right next to El Five and the perfect stop for appetizers or post dinner drinks with a converted van serving as a drink station. 

When you go here, ask the staff the story behind the name. Love the rotating menu here. Right after, go stand in line for Little Man Ice Cream. You can thank us later.
