Whenever I'm planning a visit to Denver I usually try to book my stay  in the Lower Highland (Lo-Hi) neighborhood. It offers great walkability, some top food options, and a trendy area with admirable architecture.

Denver Art Museum

If you are an art enthusiast, don’t miss the Denver Art Museum, which houses a collection of art from around the world. The 7th floor is devoted to southwest art, and you will see many paintings featuring some of the peaks and landscapes you will get to experience for yourself on this road trip! Standard admission for non-resident adults is $19. Discounted tickets are available for residents, students, and seniors over the age of 65. Kids under 18 are free every day! Explore Native American art and cutting-edge exhibits at the Denver Art Museum. The iconic Frederic C. Hamilton building, designed by Daniel Libeskind, showcases bold art. Recently renovated, the Martin Building offers expanded galleries with stunning city and mountain views. Free admission for children under 18 and select free days each month for all ages. Open daily. 

LOVE! 15min walk from Hilton. Open daily 9-6. $13 adult admission, advanced reservations required.

Tickets are required and are $27 for adult non-residents. Children are free. 

A one and done for us, but people love this place.
