As a proud same-sex couple, we make a point of seeking out LGBTQ+ sites and establishments as part of our travels. We know that finding such places can sometimes be hard so we wanted to make this guide to ensure that you’d have a gay (as in happy, but also as in gay) day in the Big Apple. We know there’s places on here even New York City queers don’t readily know about. If you’re also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, you know that we often have to seek out our own history rather than count on it being taught to us. This guide isn’t limited to just sightseeing and eating or drinking – it’s also a LGBTQ+ history walking tour. If you’re an LGBTQ+ individual or ally living or visiting the Greenwich Village area of NYC, this is a great way to start patronizing LGBTQ+ owned businesses and learn from the city’s history.
