"Possibly the most visited landmark in town, the historic West Side Market is one of the oldest continuously-operating public markets in America. The property is city-owned and hosts nearly 70 family-owned small businesses in their indoor market and open-air produce arcade.
If you’re planning on cooking while you’re in town, head to the market to purchase fresh ingredients for supper. Favorite spots include Kate’s Fish for premium seafood and amazing customer service, Ohio City Pasta for fresh filled and cut noodles, and D. W. Whitaker Meats for premium cuts for meat-lovers.
Looking for a snack? Stop by Juice Garden, Theresa’s Bakery, and Pizza Di Bella(try the famous Cleveland pizza bagel here), then climb the stairs in the southeast corner of the building to enjoy a bite while gazing at the beautiful thatched brick ceiling from the balcony.
HOT TIP: Quarters are close at the West Side Market, so leave strollers and big bags at home. Bring only what you absolutely need or it might take a while to navigate through the crowd."
