"If you are on the hunt to find a giant pinecone like I was, be sure to stop towards the end of the loop as you're exiting the park. Giant pinecones come from a sugar pine which usually reside in higher elevations so not very common in Yosemite. But, a park ranger told me I might find some here. We crossed the street towards the bathrooms and wandered in the woods. It took maybe 10 minutes but we did find 3 giant pinecones!"
