"This is a small forest service campground north of Durango, Colorado. There are fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets, but no hookups for vans or RVs. It is a seasonal fee campground, but it’s relatively inexpensive if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay for the week that isn’t too far from town. Wooded setting up in the hills. Moderately popular so you’ll likely have neighbors. Surprising decent cell service if you need to do work on the computer."

Durango, Colorado, is one of our favorite cities in the United States. Why? It’s in the Goldilocks-zone between not-too-big and not-too-small. There are interesting attractions here, but it’s also a contemporary, four-season working town where one could comfortably settle down. The food is good. There are snow-capped mountains 45 minutes to the north, desert 45 minutes to the south and Utah’s sandstone playgrounds an hour to the west. We can see ourselves making a home here, someday!
