"Jardim Terra Nostra in Furnas is one of the most breathtaking botanical gardens in the Azores, offering a lush paradise filled with exotic plants, winding pathways, and serene water features.
Established in the 18th century, this historic garden is home to a diverse collection of flora from around the world, thriving in the region’s volcanic soil and humid climate.
One of its highlights is the famous thermal pool, rich in iron and naturally heated by geothermal activity, where you can take a bath on, providing a unique and relaxing experience.
Whether you're strolling through its enchanting gardens, admiring rare trees and vibrant flowers, or taking a dip in the warm mineral-rich waters, Jardim Terra Nostra is a true sanctuary of nature and tranquility in the heart of Furnas. "

"The Terra Nostra park consists of gorgeous, beautifully curated grounds where you can easily spend and hour or two walking around the gardens. You do not have to be a guest of the hotel to buy admission - although I believe tickets do sell out quickly. The hot spring in the park is definitely the main attraction for most people and is quite large, allowing enough space for guests to spread out. The water is a brown, muddy looking color due to the minerals in it. "

"Explore the botanical gardens for a serene afternoon after or before you enjoy your thermal bath. Beware of the schedule, as this hot spring closes earlier than Poça da Dona Beija. "
