Summit Lake

"Located on the way up to Mount Evans, this is a great place to stop for a lake view. It's one of the most beautiful things that I've done. There's a trail that goes to the lake. There are two parking areas here with plenty of parking. The lot at summit lake can fit about 30 cars. The lake is only about a 20-foot walk from the parking. If you want to hike from the lake to Mount Evans, you can do that too. On the way, you can even hit Mount Spalding, which is a 13'er and is one of my favorite hikes. It's likely that you will see mountain goats or bighorn sheep here. They're constantly up there because they like the natural salt deposit in our pee, so they like being near the bathrooms."
