Plaza de Cibeles

Además del carro tirado por leones de la diosa Cibeles, en esta rotonda tienes varios edificios a tener en cuenta como el Palacio de Buenavista, que data del 1777, el Palacio de Linares, el Banco de España y sobre todo el imponente Palacio de Cibeles, que alberga el ayuntamiento y tiene un fantástico mirador en su terraza que ofrece visitas desde el Parque del Retiro hasta los rascacielos de la zona financiera.

The Plaza de Cibeles is the at the other end of the Gran Via and it is a truly spectacular square. The view is dominated by the superb Cybele Palace, a true architectural wonder. The Fountain of Cybele sits at the center of the square, with the Palace on the background. It is truly a magnificent sight. 

Beautiful architectural circle with four prominent buildings. It also sits at the meeting of three neighborhoods: Centro, Retiro, Salamanca. 

This stunning neoclassical edifice is well worth a stop.
