What people say

"It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Lisbon. The trams that pass by and ring the bells contribute to this; the magnificent decorative tile panels; the garden and the water mirror. At the Santa Luzia viewpoint, you can guide your compass by the domes of the surrounding churches. After all, you'll need to find your way around the tangle of Alfama's streets. Discover the dome of Santa Engrácia; the Church of Santo Estevão; and the two towers of the Church of São Miguel. Take advantage of the terrace and kiosk to observe the panels, designed by António Quaresma, which show you what Praça do Comércio was like before the earthquake and the capture of São Jorge Castle from the Moors. Always with the Tagus in the background and an immense desire to continue walking."
Francisco Franco Pêgo
"This is my top choice for a viewpoint in Lisboa. Not only because of the view that reaches out ot the river but mosly of the ambiance. The wall over which Lisbon is observed is covered in tiles and very close to this wall there are some built pillars and structure that allows for some plants to grow and turn the ambiance greener. You don't need to be lucky to have some background music by a live player and some beautiful Lisboa paintings for sale there."
Jennifer Hewitt
"Miradouro de Santa Luzia is a popular viewpoint offering a panoramic view of the Tagus River, the red rooftops of Alfama, and the dome of the National Pantheon. The viewpoint is adorned with beautiful tile panels depicting Lisbon's historical past, and a garden with a fountain and benches for visitors to relax and enjoy the view. It is a must-visit location for tourists visiting Lisbon and is known for its romantic and picturesque setting."
