Royal Alcázar of Seville

"The Royal Alcázar of Seville is a group of palaces surrounded by a wall. Pedro I “el Cruel” rebuilt the old Almohad building to make it a royal residence in the 14th century. It has contributions from all periods, although the Mudejar and Renaissance styles predominate. The use of the Palacio Alto, which is located in the upper part of the Mudejar Palace, is assigned to the Department of National Heritage. It includes: the vestibule, built during the time of the Catholic Monarchs; the oratory of the Catholic Monarchs; the gala dining room built during the reign of Philip II; the viewpoint of the Catholic Monarchs, with Granada influence and built in the years after 1492; the bedroom of King Pedro, which is one of the dependencies of the 14th century Mudejar palace; and the official or audience chamber. Visits to it are managed by the Patronage of the Real Alcázar of Seville. The rest of the complex, also managed by the Patronage of the Royal Alcázar of Seville, includes different spaces, including: the Hall of Justice, the Admiral's Room, the Palace of King Don Pedro, the Hall of the Catholic Kings, the Hall of Ambassadors, the Courtyard of the Maidens, the Royal Alcove, the Hall of the Lost Steps, the Hall of the Infants, the Prince's Garden, the English Garden, the Pavilion of Charles V and the Marchena Gate. The tour takes place around the courtyard of Las Doncellas (maidens), where official life took place, and Las Muñecas (dolls), reserved for private events."

"A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Royal Alcázar is a stunning palace complex that boasts a unique blend of architectural styles. It served as a residence for various rulers throughout history and remains a well-preserved attraction. Inside, you can see a collection of abanicos, paipays - traditional fans made from different kinds of feathers and materials. The small museum on the upper floor displays the influence of Islamic culture on medieval Europe. The enormous garden would be my favorite feature. You have a lot of choices to make and paths to take, making it feel like a maze where you never know what surprises are in store for you. Speaking of surprises, several visitors, including myself, were sprayed by water sprinklers that turn on at a certain time. Considering that I went during the summer and we were in the blazing sun, it was quite pleasant. The Royal Alcazar is worth spending a lot of time in."
