"Our last big stop along the way to Los Angeles was at Big Sur. This coastal drive follows the steep cliffs along the pacific ocean and offers many places to pull over and take in the incredible views. There were many stunning bridges along the highway and the scenery was like nothing we've ever seen before.
During our trip the road between Big Sur and Los Angeles was closed a few miles south of Big Sur. So, we turned around and headed back inland to Hwy 101. Make sure to check all road closures before planning your drive!"

"Big Sur is the ultimate destination for a road tripper because the journey up PCH is like driving on a postcard. I’m talking 80-foot waterfalls splashing into the ocean, towering redwood canyons and rocky ocean cliffs breaking the waves. Though anywhere within its vicinity looks like paradise, some of the more popular sights are Pfeiffer Beach and the Bixby Bridge."

"Further Option - Monterey/Big Sur/Carmel by the Sea so so pretty. Worth spending the night if you have time. Hotels in Carmel are much more reasonable. Check online to make sure roads/highways are open, landslides can cause closures."
