Let me introduce you to the ultimate floating paradise—the Floating Bar. This charming little gem is situated just outside the Bocas Marina on its own platform, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. Prepare to indulge in mouthwatering tacos and refreshing drinks that are served all day and well into the night.
The Floating Bar offers more than just delicious treats. With its upper deck, comfortable chairs for chilling, swimming noodles, and a platform for jumping into the water, and yoga classes available, it's a haven for relaxation and fun in the sun. Don't forget to bring your snorkel mask, as you can take a swim to the nearby mangroves and explore the shipwreck of The Southern Wind. Trust me, you might even spot more starfish here than at Starfish Beach itself.
This place is perfect for hanging out with friends, soaking up the sun during the day, and enjoying the mesmerizing sunset with a cold beer and mouthwatering tacos. It's a one-of-a-kind experience that combines great food, drinks, and a stunning ambiance. So grab your friends, put on your swimwear, and get ready for a day of pure bliss at the Floating Bar. Cheers to good times and unforgettable memories!
Getting there:
To reach The Floating Bar, you'll need to hop on a water taxi from Bocas Town. Head to any of the water taxi spots and let the driver know that you want to go to the Floating Bar. Most of the taxi drivers should be familiar with its location. In case they aren't, simply mention that it's the bar past Bocas Marina.
Important Info:
The Floating Bar is only open during Bocas high season, which typically runs from January to April or May. So, if you're planning a visit, make sure it falls within these months to experience the floating fun. Another thing to note is that the chitra bugs can be quite bothersome around sunset. These pesky critters are smaller than mosquitoes but their bites pack an itchy punch. So, be prepared and arm yourself with plenty of insect repellent to keep those bugs at bay."
