"Since 1938, the entire noble floor of Palazzo Carignano has housed the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento.
Completely rearranged in 2011, it is now a modern space, capable of telling the public about the Risorgimento period in a European key, from the great revolutions of the eighteenth century to the threshold of the First World War.
The museum itinerary includes the two original parliamentary halls: the Chamber of Deputies of the Subalpine Parliament - the only one in Europe, among those born from the constitutions of 1848, to have survived intact and become a national monument since 1898 - and the majestic hall intended for the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy, with vaults painted by Francesco Gonin, built between 1864 and 1871.
The Museum also has a highly specialized library known throughout the world."
