What people say

"Savica Waterfall (Slap Savica) is a magnificent waterfall located near Lake Bohinj in northwestern Slovenia. Cascading down a 78-meter (256-foot) cliff, it's not only one of the highest waterfalls in Slovenia but also a popular tourist destination within Triglav National Park. The Savica River, the source of the waterfall, originates from an underground karst spring located just above the cliff. This unique hydrological feature makes Savica a special type of waterfall known as a spring waterfall. The waterfall is usually accessed from the Savica Lodge, on the western side of Lake Bohinj. A well-maintained trail with numerous steps and turns leads through a beautiful forest alongside a ravine with a mountain stream, culminating at the waterfall itself. The hike is roughly a 15-minute walk from the lodge. There's an entrance fee to be paid at the start of the trail, but after 4 pm, admission is free."
"This is a stunning waterfall and and an iconic photo stop. If you have small kids, I would think twice about this hike. It was 500 steps and was challenging for me as a relatively fit adult."

"Waterfall flowing down a rocky crevasse into a pool, reached by a stepped trail through the forest."
