"Some claim this is the most beautiful church in Rome. The mother church of the Jesuit order, here you will find the tomb of St. Ignatius and the relic of the right arm of St. Francis Xavier–the arm that baptized 300,000 people.
Not to be missed is the ceiling fresco, the Triumph of the Name of Jesus by Giovanni Battista Gaulli.
Every afternoon, a 300 year-old musical light show in the church reveals a statue of St. Ignatius hidden behind the painting above his tomb. This happens every day at 5:30 from October to June and every day at 6:00 pm from July to September."

"The Chiesa del Gesù is a church in Rome, Italy. It is the mother church of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), and is one of the most important churches in the history of the Catholic Church.
The church was built in the 16th century, and was designed by the architect Giacomo della Porta. The facade of the church is decorated with statues of saints and angels, and the interior of the church is decorated with paintings and sculptures by some of the most important artists of the 16th century, including Giovanni Battista Gaulli and Ludovico Cigoli."

"The mother church of the Society of Jesus. Its façade is the first truly baroque façade, introducing the baroque style into architecture. Built in the 16th century, the church served as a model for many Jesuit churches all over the world, above all its paintings, nave and side chapels. The frescoed ceiling is one of the most mesmerising artworks I’ve seen in Rome."
