"Top 5 Travel experiences so far! This is a crazy experience. When booking I made sure to book with a company that took safety seriously as I did hear of some accidents from this sport so I booked through Via Via hostel (didn't stay there, just reserved this tour through them) I was on two minds about doing this because I can be a scaredy cat but this was SO worth it!! My biggest fear was sliding down the volcano at the speed of lightning but this isn't the case, you control the speed so not to worry :) Super cool experience - I recommend for anyone to do this. The tour cost $30 (glass of rum included at the end or coke if it is too early for your alchohol intake) then you will arrive back to the Hostel, have some lunch and then have an hour to get ready to go to the beach also included in this price! (with some free rum on the way and back) It turns into a party bus with music playing. You will arrive at the beach in time to watch the sunset set over the ocean with a cocktail in your hand and enjoy the rest of your evening here before retuning to the city around 8pm. "
