"2 options- take the ferry over from stonington and do a scenic trip, with an opportunity to do a hike then ride back OR snag a spot when they open on April 1 every year and camp in one of just a few wooden shelters. Each has a fire pit and picnic table. A couple well-kept composting toilets in the area. Several of the sites have water view."
