"Restaurant “La Cialoma” is located in what once was a local site for the industry fishing and transforming tuna. To these days, this seaside seafood restaurant is a Marzamemi institution and the prmium price paid for a plate of pasta is worth it when said plate is served on a table that’s facing the turquoise blue of the Ionian Sea. Diners sit on colorful painted chairs, shaded by a straw pergola and order the catch of the day.
All is prepared simply and without frills: tuna grilled with fennel seeds, lemon-marinated shrimp, local white gamberi slightly marinated in Verdicchio wine, olive oil, pepper and lemon, Cow ricotta covered with sea urchin pulp, marinated anchovies, fried sardines with vinegar and onions agrodoloce.
If you can’t find a spot on the sea-facing terrace, the tables in front of the restaurant, facing Marzamemi’s cute central piazza are also a fine place for a leisurely lunch. During high summer season reservations are a must."

"As the first restaurant opened on the main square in Marzamemi, Taverna La Cialoma has a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This family-run eatery located in the old tuna fishery is simple and unpretentious, but what it lacks in frills it more than makes up for in the quality of its cuisine. The menu is full of fresh, delicious dishes that highlight the best of Sicilian cuisine, with a particular focus on grilled fish, seafood platters, and pasta dishes.
But it's not just the food that makes Taverna La Cialoma so special. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the views from the terrace overlooking the sea are truly breathtaking, making it the perfect choice for a romantic dinner."
