Tomas Bubela
"Very peaceful hill in the middle of busy town. Đền Mẫu in Vietnam is a type of temple dedicated to the worship of mother goddesses. This practice, known as Đạo Mẫu, is a branch of Vietnamese folk religion that was established in the 16th century. The worship involves rituals and ceremonies that honor various mother goddesses, such as Thiên Y A Na, Bà Chúa Xứ, and Princess Liễu Hạnh. These temples are significant cultural and spiritual sites, reflecting the deep appreciation of women in Vietnamese society. The most prominent ritual is the hầu bóng ceremony, where a priest or priestess mimics the deities by dressing and acting like them. This practice was recognized by UNESCO and inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2016."
