Vienna: Everything you really need to know!
Weather:
It’s very important to be prepared for Vienna’s weather. As someone coming from a Mediterranean island, I found Vienna’s weather at the end of August to be quite different from home—it was cold enough to need a jacket! So, make sure you're ready with the right clothing!
The months from May to September offer pleasant temperatures and extended daylight with July receiving up to 8.5 hours of sunshine, making it the ideal time to visit Vienna. Temperatures range from a mild 27°C (80.6°F) to a 12.5°C (54.5°F) at nighttime.
Although Vienna's winter, from December to February, is marked by intense cold and frequent snowfall, the city is filled with Christmas markets all around the city making it a really festive destination. Keep in mind that temperatures range between 3°C (37.4°F) and -1°C (30.2°F). The season is also defined by shorter daylight hours, with only 1.7 to 3.6 hours per day.
