What people say

"There's a new Casa Guedes in Porto. But tradition lives on Casa Guedes, known for having the most famous pork sandwich in Porto, opened its new space in 2023. It is located near its original address, in Praça dos Poveiros, and, in a three-storey building, it has capacity to seat around 200 people, almost three times more than the original establishment. Fraga, Bevilacqua and António Rodrigues are the new partners of Casa Guedes, in addition to owning 18 restaurants in Rio de Janeiro, belonging to the Boteco Belmonte group. At «Casa Guedes», the relaxed space is the perfect meeting point for stress-free weekends in the company of family and friends. At the diner, we place great importance on the freshness of our dishes. It is the perfect meeting place for a quick lunch or to satisfy your hunger after work. Sit comfortably on the benches, enjoying your meal."

"For a truly authentic experience, head to Casa Guedes, a beloved local spot famous for its succulent sandes de pernil (roast pork sandwiches). The tender pork is slow-cooked to perfection and served on a fresh, crusty roll. Add some queijo da serra (a soft, buttery cheese) for an extra indulgence. This is a no-frills place where you can enjoy a satisfying, traditional meal without spending much."
Ana Carolina Cardoso
"This place is truly a Porto gem. Made with their famous pulled pork sandwich, their take on Francesinha is a classic with a twist."
