"Alpe di Suisi is the highest alpine meadow in Europe. Cabins, hotels and Rifugios dot the surroundings. There are a few ways to arrive at this location. I’ve hiked from Compatsch to Saltria. Overall this is an easy downhill hike. From the lowest point of Saltria you can take a bus back to Compatsch so you don’t have to hike uphill.
Distance: 4.2 miles (6.8km)
