Torre Mount Britton Trailhead

"Mount Britton Trail & Tower is the most scenic hike in El Yunque National Forest.  Despite its 'challenging' label, this 45-minute hike is entirely within reach.  The trail's mix of asphalt, gravel, and natural stone allows for an immersive experience amidst the lush rainforest.  With an elevation climb of 594 feet in less than a mile, the trail presents a few steep sections, but the captivating forest ambiance ensures an inspiring ascent. Upon reaching the 3,087-foot summit, a breathtaking panorama unfolds—offering vistas from the rainforest's rich canopy to the endless ocean.  The tower itself presents an awe-inspiring vantage, showcasing the beauty of the cloud forest and surrounding greenery.  This hike promises an extraordinary payoff, rewarding every step with unparalleled scenery and an everlasting connection to the magnificence of El Yunque's natural beauty.  If you’re up for a longer hike you can extend this trail with either the El Yunque Trail or La Coca Trail."
