"Lx Factory was an old fabric factory that gained a new life and today is one of the most creative and modern places in the city, where you can enjoy a little of everything, from a place to work next to the Tagus to restaurants.
In the space where you now know – or will get to know – the Lx Factory, the Companhia de Fiação e Tecidos Lisbonense was located, which began its activity in 1846.
For many years abandoned and away from the curious eyes of tourists and Lisbon residents, this space now gives way to Lx Factory, distinguishing itself as a creative hub for small businesses or startups, a place for performing arts and a place where you can eat well.
Business sectors linked to fashion, music, advertising, communication, art, multimedia and restaurants gave life to what is now considered a place of worship in the Alcântara area, and in the city itself."

"Once an old industrial textile complex, LX Factory is now home to Lisbon’s trendiest restaurants, bars, and shops. Located beneath the Ponte de 25 Abril Bridge, the revitalized hotspot resembles a village where you can walk down cobbled streets and admire the street art adorning the walls of old warehouses. Here, you can dine in a former industrial canteen, shop at a multi-story bookstore, watch artists at work in their ateliers and studios, catch a live performance or exhibition, and more. On the weekend, stop by the open-air flea market which sells everything from handmade jewelry to vintage clothing. "

"LX Factory is a must see whilst in Lisbon. It’s a quirky area of the city that’s full of independent shops, bars, restaurants and you could easily spend an entire afternoon here. There are a variety of ways to get to LX, but our personal favourite is by train. Grab the train to Cascais from Cais do Sodre and get off at Alcantara-Mar. LX is just a 10 minute walk from this station, and is just two stops on the train!
(Average time spent here: 1 hr - 3hrs)"
