"Shenandoah National Park, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, is a stunning retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Spanning over 200,000 acres, the park is renowned for its breathtaking vistas, diverse wildlife, and scenic hiking trails, including a section of the famous Appalachian Trail. Skyline Drive runs the length of the park, offering panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains, especially spectacular during the fall foliage season.
Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, from hiking to waterfalls and exploring lush forests to picnicking at designated areas. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, black bears, and numerous bird species, making it a paradise for wildlife watchers. With its rich natural beauty and recreational opportunities, Shenandoah National Park invites you to escape into the great outdoors and experience the tranquility and majesty of Virginia’s wilderness. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a peaceful retreat, Shenandoah has something for everyone!"

"Price: 125$ + 32$
One of my goals for this trip was to visit a national park. Unfortunately they are usually quite difficult to reach especially without public transport. One option I found was a day trip to Shenandoah with organized tour from Washington.
It's definitely more expensive day trip so you can think for yourself if you're interested.
I quite enjoyed it. I went there end of October when leaves are all golden and beautiful. Guide was giving us a lot of information through the trip and we stopped in the park for a little hike. You'll also have a stop at caves, keep in mind that entry is not included in day trip ticket and if you want to go in you'll need to give the guide 32$ extra in cash. You can also just wait outside for the other people to visit. "

"This beautiful national park showcases the most incredible part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. Highlights include driving the Skyline Drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, picnicking, camping, and more. There is plenty to do here - you could spend a day, or a week here, and probably still feel like you want to come back."
