Mount Vernon is located just a 30-minute drive from downtown D.C.. It is an enriching day trip that immerses you in the history and heritage of America. There is plenty of parking if you choose to drive yourself or it is easy to take an Uber/Lyft or taxi both directions. To mix it up you can also arrive by boat through City Experiences. It is a 45 minute ferry ride and the ferry ticket includes the Mount Vernon entrance ticket.
