"The Burj Khalifa, formerly known as the Burj Dubai, is the world's tallest structure, standing at an impressive height of 829.8 meters (2,722 feet) including its spire. Its roof height, excluding the antenna, reaches 828 meters (2,717 feet). Located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Burj Khalifa has held the title of the tallest building and structure since its completion in 2009, surpassing Taipei 101, which had held the record since 2004.
Construction began in 2004 and was completed in 2009, with the building opening in 2010 as the centerpiece of the Downtown Dubai development. Designed by the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the Burj Khalifa's design is inspired by Islamic architecture, particularly the Great Mosque of Samarra, and its Y-shaped floor plan maximizes both residential and hotel space. The building's core structure is reinforced concrete, supported by a buttressed central core and wings, and the exterior features a cladding system built to withstand Dubai’s extreme summer heat. The building also includes 57 elevators and 8 escalators to transport visitors and residents within its 163 floors. Named after Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the former president of the UAE, the Burj Khalifa stands as a symbol of Dubai's rapid development and ambition."

"The tallest building in the world needs no introduction. I haven't been to the top myself because of my fear of elevators. However I can say that I have always been told that it is much better value to go to the Atmosphere Lounge on the 122nd floor, than the viewing point at the top.
You have more time, and as everyone is seated you get a real chance of taking in the view. However I've been warned that the restaurant is not worth the prices, so make sure you are booking at the lounge.
Another great option is to book the Sunrise + Morning Treat package on the weekend, which is only 159aed (cheaper than general admission), for some of the most stunning views of the city.

"Start off with Breakfast at Atmosphere, the Lounge, with a minimum spend of 100 AED for 2 people this works out to cheaper than going to the viewing desk, and since they start at 7 a.m. it is aptly called Breakfast in the clouds !
Although Dubai usually experiences clear skies which means you will get clear bird's eye view of the city.
Note - You can skip the gold coffee unless you're feeling really fancy but DO NOT MISS a visit to the washroom - thank me later!"
