Point King Lighthouse Ruins

"This is a bit of a hidden gem nestled quietly on a gorgeous walk amongst the bushland. The Point King Lighthouse ruins makes for an interesting exploration and unique photos, and requires a comfortable walk to reach it.🚶 Park your car at the start of the trail and begin the walk, note that there is no designated carpark. We ended up parking on the dirt in front of the entrance to the trail which wasn’t an issue. You’ll be led between the bush and trees on a paved path where you’re able to view the shoreline from a higher vantage point. Its a beautiful and relaxing walk, where you’re able to take in the waves and the greenery. As you progress further, you’ll come across a few points of interest and some great photo spots. 📸 Continue along the path and you’ll soon find a smaller trail that will lead you to the cottage ruins. You’re able to walk inside the ruins, and while it is small it exudes a lot of charm. Just be careful to not leave any litter or traces that you were there to protect the space. 🏠 Go down to the rocks where the ruins are situated on and take in the waves. I had spotted an individual who made himself comfortable fishing in that area. 🎣 I watched as the waves smashed against the rocks with captivating strength and it was lovely to just sit by the rocks and watch the water without many others around. Be cautious you don’t go too far down to the edge of the rocks where it can get very dangerous. Recharge and rest while listening to the wind and waves with this low-key activity."
