"😊 One of the best things to do in Reykjavik is take a food tour. 🇮🇸 Not only will you eat delicious food, but you'll also learn about Iceland's culture and history. 🦈 HARKAL: Fermented shark... if this sounds disgusting, you're right! But harkal is one of Iceland's traditional, national foods... something the Vikings ate to survive. 😉 Do you dare try it? 🌭 PYLSA: Icelandic hot dogs are mainly made of lamb. Order them with EVERYTHING: Icelandic mustard, ketchup, remoulade, fried onions, and raw onions. NOTE: There are 4-5 unique stops on each tour that vary depending on the time of day. ⏰ TIMING: 3 hours with multiple time slots throughout the day. Approximately 2 km of walking. Check out the link below to discover my favourite tour."

"We thought this was a super great way to learn about the city's culture, history, and architecture, and definitely recommend checking it out. It was a fantastic way to start our trip. Depending on your arrival time (or the number of nights you stay in Reykjavik), we highly recommend this food walk! We did the 11:30 am tour and it worked great with our itinerary. Pro Tip: Make sure to come hungry! Do not eat a big meal right before this tour because you will get full after the first couple of stops. "Finding authentic places to eat can be tricky in an unfamiliar place. Take the guesswork out of your visit to Reykjavík on this guided walking tour that takes you to a multitude of eateries around the capital, including the city's oldest restaurant and a much-loved hot dog stand. In a small group of no more than 12, learn about Iceland's culinary history and traditions as you sample such dishes as Icelandic meat soup, skyr, and lobster soup."
