"The Jordan Museum is the largest museum in the country, and was only built ten years ago. The collection features two absolute showstoppers: the Jordanian share of the Dead Sea Scrolls and some of the oldest known statues in human history, the Ain Ghezal Statues.
I will put a bit of a warning on the Jordan Museum. I visited mid reshuffling of the collection and I did not see the collection at its peak. It seemed like the exhibits open at the time were far geared to families and children then necessarily an adult visitor. However, I'm going to assume that all the wonderful artifacts are back on display and say that the Jordan Museum is one of the highlights of Amman."
