Beykoz Mecidiye Pavilion (National Palaces)

"The Beykoz Mecidiye Pavilion, also known as the Mecidiye Kasrı, is a beautiful Ottoman palace located in the Beykoz district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in the 1850s for Sultan Abdülmecid and is a stunning example of Ottoman architecture. The pavilion is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Bosphorus Strait and has a large garden with fountains, flowers, and trees. The palace itself is made of white marble and has a two-story main building with four wings. The interior of the palace is decorated with intricate tilework, chandeliers, and furniture. The Beykoz Mecidiye Pavilion was used by the Ottoman sultans as a summer residence and for entertaining guests. It was also used as a venue for important events, such as the signing of the Treaty of Paris in 1856. Today, the Beykoz Mecidiye Pavilion is a museum and is open to the public.
