Outside, we hiked along scenic trails, enjoyed picnics by the river, and even tried our hand at fishing in the Snake River. With its stunning landscapes and fascinating historical significance, Three Island Crossing State Park provided a memorable destination for us to explore, learn, and connect with Idaho's past. While optional, we highly recommend it as a must-visit stop for anyone traveling through the area, offering a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and history of the Oregon Trail firsthand. If time is limited and you depart later in the day, this is the stop we would forego, but its rich history and natural beauty make it a worthwhile addition to any itinerary."
