"I'd recommend staying a few nights in the region of Rivas, since there's way more than just the natural reserve.
If you are staying in Rivas town, you can go to the Cloudbridge Reserve in around 20 minutes by bus or by car. Take in account that the bus will stop at San Gerardo de Rivas, so you will have to walk for about 30 minutes before arriving at the entrance of the Reserve.
If you are leaving from San Isidro de el General, you can take a direct bus to San Gerardo de Rivas (6x per day from 5AM45 to 8PM).
The opening hours are from 7AM to 5PM. The entrance fee is $10.00 USD (₡5 000 colones). The whole reserve is actually pretty large, and includes 5 different trails ranging from 15 minutes to 6 hours roundtrip hikes. "
