"Tortugas de Isla Damas, a conservation organization located on Isla Damas, is dedicated to safeguarding the nesting populations of Kemp's ridley sea turtles. What began as a small-scale family endeavor eight years ago has blossomed into a collaborative effort with volunteers.
Sea turtle eggs are a delicacy, eaten by locals and wildlife alike. With so many factors against these little guys, turtle nurseries greatly increase the chance of them making it out into the wild. If you are planning a trip between the months of August and November, I highly recommend taking a trip to Damas Island! Watch my TikTok below for all of the info you need to know before you go!
If you are interested in booking this excursion or donating to Milo and his organization, you can do so by visiting their facebook page www.facebook.com/tortugasdeisladamas "
