You'll see that Romanians know how to party better! Highlights: 👚 Ia - the traditional Romanian blouse is more than just a piece of clothing; it is a national symbol, a story and a history book. Ia has a simple cut, and is usually white and made of hemp, flax cotton or silk, over which geometrical or floral motifs are embroidered in colored threads.Motifs differ from one region to another. The used ornaments, colors and materials represented a social mark, age, marital status, religious affiliation and place of origin within the country. 🧆 Mititei/mici - (both Romanian words meaning "little ones", "small ones") is a dish from the Romanian cuisine, consisting of grilled ground meat rolls in cylindrical shape made from a mixture of pork/beef/lamb with spices such as garlic, black pepper, thyme, coriander, anise, savory, and sometimes a touch of paprika; often served with french fries, mustard and pickled vegetables.

I am a person that loves slow-travelling, loves eating where the locals eat and I like to think I have a good taste when it comes to food. I am also tired of all the bad touristic places that are recommend all over google and by tour guides. I often see on YouTube or TikTok tourist who come to Bucharest and are send by food guides to tourist traps where the people from Bucharest do not eat and where the ingredients are of poor quality. So I decided to present you my take on Bucharest food. Expect a lot of local ingredients, in-season ingredients, delicious dishes and amazing stories. This guide is going to be divided into Lunch/Dinner Places, Brunch Places (here I have some incredible recommendations) and Places with Romanian food (authentic restaurants that offer local and in-season ingredients). For all the places I added their instagram account as I believe this is the quickest way to see how the dished look like and to find their website for reservations.
