"My favorite beach… so far :)
Bakoven is a rocky beach. It is easily accessible and there are tons of rocks to the left and right of the main beach that you can venture to.
Jumping from the large rocks into the electric blue waters of Bakoven Beach in Cape Town is an exhilarating experience that is sure to leave you with lasting memories.
There is a lot of space on the various rocks, the rocks are large and mostly flat. Making it the perfect picnic spot.
My favorite part is the fact that there is no sand!
PS- you may find a few topless girls sunbathing. Please don’t be creepy. Be lekker. "

"Bakoven Beach is just a small strip of sand between a jumble of giant granite boulders, some of which are reminiscent of Dutch ovens, hence the suburb’s name.
The boulders provide shelter from the wind for sunbathers seeking a quiet spot away from the Camps Bay crowds. It also offers a good vantage point from which to watch the sunset.
Behind the beach is a maze of narrow lanes winding between the closely spaced bungalows, creating a cosy village atmosphere."
