Laissez les bons temps rouler - that is "Let the good times roll" in French. It's a sort of catch phrase for the New Orleans way of life. The exuberance, the decadence, the partying. It is embedded in the city. The jazz scene is an integral part. Deeply historic yet so incredibly relevant today, jazz can still be found everywhere. Whether it is a street performer, at a classy club, or at a spill-your-beer pub, jazz is often at the forefront. Locals still frequent jazz clubs and bars fairly regularly - including the young ones - on a night out. Even the airport bears the name of one of the great jazz musicians, Louis Armstrong.
