"You can see the Arenal Volcano from La Fortuna town, and only if you are lucky (I was lucky!!) you can see it fully as it's usually covered by clouds, as you can see in the second picture.
There's another thing you can do, which is to hike to the top, it takes around 5 hours, it's illegal tho. Another option is to hike the trails opened for public in the volcano which are beautiful and offer a good view of the volcano. "
