Koh Lanta, in my opinion, the best island to join Koh Lipe on the same trip, is located in the province of Krabi in the South of Thailand. Koh Lanta offers a perfect combination of forest, wildlife and dreamy beaches, which is ideal for any traveller! [Solo, teenagers, families, etc.] It is easily accessible by bus from Krabi or boat from Koh Lipe. The best time to go is from December to mid-April. I recommend going 3-4 days! we stayed for 3.
