I am a HUGE book lover and try to visit local book stores on all my travels. Here is a list of my favorites in NYC. There is a huge variety of options with a book store to fit almost every person, and I will be adding to it as I explore more!

I have a friend who LOVES books and records, so for her birthday, I created a list of easily walkable book and record stores in Lower Manhattan. Each stop was less than ten minutes walk from the last, and the pace left us enough time to browse each store to our hearts' content. We ended the day with two dinner stops - Malay and Thai cuisines (why choose one when you can have both?!).
