Castelul de Lut Valea Zânelor

"Inspired by fairy tales of old, Castlelul de Lut, the Clay Castle, was built in 2014 by local craftspeople using traditional Romanian building techniques. Everything is handmade locally, down to the dishes inside. The castle is located in a peaceful valley by a river with mountainous views. It is about a 45 minute drive from the city of Sibiu (well worth a visit of it's own!). Plan to spend a day here exploring and have a meal at the restaurant on site. Vegetarian options are available. Upon reopening, they will function as a restaurant, resort, and events location and no longer offer a museum experience.
