"One of my favorite tiny villages. There is not a lot of commercial things up here, but one of the most photogenic places in Chianti.
Amerigo Vespucci''s home is at the beginning of town with a cross on the building ( from Pisa, where the port was for sailing) and above the door, the family crest with Wasps. Wasp in Italian is Vespa.. yes, like the motorbikes, for the noise they make.
It now also has a B&B.
Then there is a small restaurant with tables in the summer outside over the vineyards.
A small bar great for a break. "
