"The Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world and is located in the Italian city of Pisa, in the Tuscany region. The tower is renowned for its distinctive tilt, which has made it a symbol of architectural marvel and engineering challenge.
Construction of the tower began in 1173, but due to a flawed foundation and unstable soil, the tower started leaning during its construction. Several attempts were made to correct the tilt, including adjustments in subsequent levels, but the tower continued to lean. It took nearly 200 years to complete the tower, with its final bell-chamber added in 1372.
The tower stands at around 56 meters (186 feet) in height and consists of eight levels. Its distinctive tilt is a result of the soft, marshy ground on which it was built. At its most extreme, the tower leans at an angle of about 4 degrees from the vertical.
Despite its lean, the Leaning Tower of Pisa has stood for centuries and has become a beloved symbol of Pisa and Italy. Its unique design and unintended deviation from the vertical have made it a fascination for visitors from around the world.
The tower is located in the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and also houses other important landmarks such as the Pisa Cathedral and the Baptistry. The white marble exterior of the tower, with its intricate architectural details, is a sight to behold.
Visitors can climb the tower's spiral staircase, consisting of 294 steps, to reach the top and enjoy panoramic views of the city of Pisa. However, due to safety concerns, there are restrictions on the number of visitors allowed inside the tower at any given time.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa continues to attract millions of tourists each year, who come to marvel at its unique tilt and learn about its intriguing history. It serves as a testament to human ingenuity, as well as a reminder that even unexpected imperfections can become iconic symbols of the world's cultural heritage.

"The most famous Medieval bell tower ("campanile") in the world is located in Campo dei Miracoli (Field of Miracles), a UNESCO World Heritage sight since 1987, along with the Duomo of Pisa, the Baptistry, and the Cemetery.
While taking the iconic photo pretending to hold up the tower is a must-do experience, I also recommend climbing to the top of the tower (294 steps) to enjoy the it from the inside or for a gorgeous view of the city at the top.
I strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance on the official website (linked below).
If desired, you can combine the visit with other neighboring monuments, which you can access on the website."

"It's perhaps Italy's most famous monument (after the Colosseum), and its 4-degree lean has been exploited for countless goofy tourist photos. The tower also happens to be a masterpiece of medieval architecture, and now, of modern engineering used to keep the tower stable. Climb the 296 steps to the top, but be wary the marble is slick!
💡 Tip: Make sure to check out the other sites on the piazza (the church and baptistery); they are just as impressive, if not more, than the tower!"
