"Although admission into Santa Croce isn't free, it is the one basilica I recommend everyone visits during their time in Florence. Inside the church you will find walls covered in stained glass and traditional Italian art, but the best part about this church are the tombs. There are burial sites located all throughout the church, with the most notable ones being the tomb of Galileo and the tomb of Michelangelo. Santa Croce also holds the annual Calcio Storico tournament. Admission into the church starts at €8."
