This was the blueprint for our Honeymoon, but this trip can be used for any couple looking for a romantic getaway to Italy. We begin in Venice before traveling to Florence, 3 Tuscany Cities and Wineries, and ending this dream getaway in Positano on the picturesque Amalfi Coast. Each day has been thoughtfully planned to give you the ultimate vacation. 

Pro Tip: We travelled June/July, but you can opt for May/June or September/October for lower prices and less crowds while still enjoying nice weather.  They will also harvest the grapes and olives around October. If traveling off-season, please note some recommendations may be closed for the season.

European Getaway: Italy, France & Belgium

Giardino Bardini

While the Boboli Gardens are a popular choice, the Bardini Garden offers a quieter and more intimate experience.  Located on a hillside overlooking the Arno River, it boasts panoramic views of the city and a delightful mishmash of botanical wonders.  Get lost amidst climbing roses, hidden grottoes, and whimsical sculptures, all while enjoying a peaceful escape from the crowds.

Giardino Bardini is a beautiful terraced garden with a spectacular view of the city. Grand in design, but intimate in scale, the garden has a pergola-covered stairwell leading up to the Belvedere panoramic terrace; ascending requires a slight effort—the stairs are shallow and long.

Known for its wisteria pergola that blooms from April to May, this garden provides stunning views of Florence and a charming, less crowded alternative to other city gardens.  

Note: Be sure to explore the Baroque staircase.

This magical spot is the upper part of the Boboli gardens, at the Fortezza di Belvedere.
When the Wisteria is in bloom it's a favorite stop for locals as well. There is a lovely garden bar for a snack as well.

Spectacular panoramic views of the Florence skyline, a Kauffeehaus where you can sip a cappuccino or eat a gelato and a moment to explore the green beauty of the Florentine palaces & villas. 

A much smaller and less crowded garden nearby, but I actually preferred this one at it was less crowded and had better views of the city.

A stunning garden to walk through, but also a great stop to see the city from above!
