"The Giardino of Villa Bardini is one the most famous Florentine gardens, and is smaller and more private compared to the famous Boboli Gardens. The terraced garden itself is beautiful, with a pergola-covered stairwell leading up to the Belvedere panoramic terrace, from which you'll enjoy a unique view of Florence. Up to the 1960s the garden was private, the it was abandoned for over 30 years, during which it became like a wild and untamed forest. It was made accessible to the general public about 20 years ago. This is perfect for those in need of a break from the museum scene; anyone looking for a view; and families with kids. It's a great place to literally stop and smell the flowers!
