"Touristy? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!
When I inquired ahead of time they told me they have a small kitchen and can't guarantee there isn't cross-contact but something told me to give it a try anyway.
When I got there in person I spoke with the owner, Simone, and he explained that the kitchen is small but they have a separate small oven for the gluten free bread which is packaged Schar brand. Plus, their gluten-containing bread is also packaged so there isn't flour about in the kitchen. And then the rest of the menu is naturally gluten free as they only serve aperitivo (meats, cheese, melon, etc.)
Keep in mind that this is a super popular spot! So much so that they have an app you have to download where you "put yourself in line" and you'll be notified when it's close to your turn. This way you can stroll and enjoy Manarola while waiting.
I did their pesto making class and it was honestly the highlight of my trip, it was so fun! They prepped all my food first before anyone else with clean gloves and I felt really comfortable.
Just make sure to communicate clearly that this is a medical need and not a dietary choice. "

"What is so special about this restaurant is that it has a breathtaking view. There are 2 ways to get a table. First is to wait in a line in front of the restaurant( you can't make a reservation in this restaurant). You have to take a number in their app or in restaurant and wait for them to call out your number. Another way to get a table is to attend their Pesto making class. Lunch and wine testing are included. Keep in mind that they only serve bruschetta, burrata, melon, focaccia and parma ham. "

"This place has def become a bit insta famous, but the best hack is to go for the pesto class. It is 80pp but you learn how to make pesto, you get a solid lunch of meat, fruit, pesto, & focaccia, you get wine with your meal, and a small bottle to take home. It is so much fun! Booking the pesto class guarantees you get to check out this special spot.
If you're not into that though, they also have an app where you can log on and make a reservation for a spot. "
