What people say

"Religious architecture, 18th and 19th centuries. Parish church elevated to the status of national sanctuary, with a rectangular plan comprising a nave and chancel, interior with axial and bilateral lighting and wooden roofs, having attached several sections. Harmonious main façade, with three panels defined by pilasters, the central one ending in a counter-curved gable, with a narthex of three round arches, on Tuscan columns, topped by bay windows, finished in semi-circular and angular attics and, in the centre, a niche with an image of the patron saint. Projecting towers with three registers, the middle one with windows identical to those of the nave. Axial portal with a round arch between pilasters supporting an interrupted pediment. The right-hand side façade is opened by a transverse door with a round arch between pilasters, supporting a straight cornice. Inside, it has a wooden high choir, a baptistery on the Gospel side, a pulpit on the same side, in polychrome carving, accessed by a door, and two deep side chapels, with round arches on pilasters topped by a straight cornice, containing polychrome carving altarpieces, the late-Baroque one of the Blessed Sacrament and the revivalist one of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Similar side altarpieces, late-Baroque, with a concave plan and one axis. The main chapel is covered in carved panelling, with painted panels, with scenes from the life of the Virgin, and a late-Baroque main altarpiece, in polychrome carving, with a straight plan and three axes. The sacristy has a chest topped by a back containing painted panels and a central niche with the Crucifix."
