"Type: Hike Level: Easy Bus: 181, 182 If you're looking for a hike to do on a rainy day, search no more! If you don't have a car it's a bit of a journey to get there, but it's worth it. The bus will actually drop you right at the trailhead. If you're driving there though, don't put the trailhead in your GPS and park at Belcarra Regional Park. There are two different roads to get there and it's very frustrating when you're on the wrong side of the parking lot (true story). The trail has a little bit of ups and downs but is pretty straightforward. At the very end it gets much steeper downhill, and you will just pop out of the forest facing Jug Island. The island itself is not accessible (unless you have a kayak), but it's such a picturesque sight with the mountains in the background, that in my opinion even gets enhanced with moody weather! If the tide is low you can venture on the rocks on your right for some different views. "
