"This town may look a bit like a touristy spot (because it actually is), but it is still definitely worth a visit in my opinion as it offers great photos opportunities with the picturesque village and the surrounding mountains / Big Buddha in the background.
Our pro tip: Don't fall for all the touristy restaurants in the village's main alley!
We highly recommend you eat at the Po Lin Monastery vegetarian restaurant instead (we'll explain why later). "

"Mostly for souvenir shopping and photos, though I would hold off on any souvenir buying unless it is very unique or particular to Ngong Ping as the prices are quite high for some items. Food is also at a premium here."
